Who we are

Monty Montano, PhD
Founder and Advisor

Monty is a leading authority on personalized physical function biomarkers associated with aging and chronic disease. Early in Monty's career he traveled to Botswana to develop the reference diagnostic laboratory in the country, which has now grown into a multi-floored clinic. Monty's humanity and vision is drove the foundation and mission of MyoSyntax that each team member passionately shares. Monty is an avid cyclist and outdoor enthusiast. Monty currently serves as a Principal Investigator at Harvard Medical School and is the Director of Muscle and Aging Interventions at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Monty earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his postdoctoral work at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Brian Mozeleski, PhD
Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Brian sets the overall strategic direction and buildout of the company’s team and platform, and is responsible for corporate and business development activities. Following entrepreneurial success as a founder at T2 Biosystems, a Flagship Ventures portfolio company that later went public in 2007, Brian later joined Flagship's innovation unit, VentureLabs, as entrepreneurial fellow where his team conceived innovations leading to the launch of Indigo and new products at Moderna Therapeutics. Brian is passionately dedicated to the environment and nutrition having founded Otter Cove Farms a sustainable seafarm in Maine where he now acts as an advisor.

Thanh Tran, PhD Senior Scientist Thanh is responsible for executing muscle research collaborations with the United States Army Research Institute. Thanh received his PhD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Pharmacology as an American Heart Association Fellow and later served postdoctoral fellowships at at Harvard Medical School.

Michael Floyd, MS Laboratory Manager Michael is responsible for overseeing laboratory management and experimentation. Michael is a dedicated health and exercise devotee, while dedicating his personal life to exploring the natural wonders of the world having been to over 3 continents and 15 countries in the past year.
